Cascade Falls

We had been told about the Music Valley Garden so we headed off in the direction of Bloody Bridge with the idea of having a look at both because they are right next door to each other. We found a tour bus out the front of the garden so we opted to give the area a miss and come back another time when it was quieter. I'm not sure, in hindsight, that was the best decision. Perhaps we could have skulked around at the back of the tour group and picked up extra information about the place that we wouldn't have learned by ourselves.

Cascade Falls

So, instead, we opted to drive the short distance to Cascade Falls. Sadly the pathway to the lookout was closed but we were still able to have a bit of a look around.

We wandered along a pathway that was on a steep incline so we tried to be sure-footed. We went as far as we could and then turned around to go back. There was then a realization there were some bulls on the scene. They were quite close to the path!

The track is closed past this point As far as we could go at the Falls

We had to make a conscious decision to watch the pathway and not worry about the bulls. One slip on the pathway and we could have been headed for disaster. We just had to hope the bulls weren't too un-friendly. As it turns out they didn't seem bothered by us at all. All the animals on the island seem very tame.

From there we headed back to Burnt Pine for a few provisions from the supermarket and back to our cottage for a lazy and late afternoon tea.
