Vladimir to Moscow by train

Comfy beds at Hotel Vladimir
What a delightful sleep we had. The bed was soft and comfy. So much so, it was hard to get up in the morning. Nonetheless we were up before 7 am. The restaurant at the hotel opened at 7:30 and we had a nice breakfast – smorgasbord style. We were able to use the laptop whilst we ate breakfast so we took the opportunity to check out the Frankfurt Youth hostel and then make a booking. It seems to be very central in Frankfurt.
Lengthy and common ticket queue
The platform side of Vladimir railway station
After breakfast we very smartly walked down to the Vladimir railway station and by 9 a.m. we were on our way to Moscow. We were surprised to find a lovely meal box on our seats when we boarded the train. There was a cold meat roll plus a box of goodies that included yoghurt, apple juice, a small bottle of water, jam, chocolates and savoury biscuits. We weren't quite sure what we were meant to do with the jam though.

An unexpected breakfast awaits us
We struck bad luck with our train seats though. Our seats faced backwards and we didn't have a window beside us. Nonetheless it was a smooth journey and in less than three hours we were in Moscow.
